It’s never been a secret that Donald Trump isn’t a fan of Pope Francis, who famously questioned whether Trump is REALLY a Christian. What Trump wants, of course, is a Pro-Trump Pope, just as he wants Pro-Trump-everything-else in his life.
Interestingly, a new pope might be just around the corner – if not imminent. Pope Francis stated back in 2015 that he saw himself as being pontiff for no more than 5 more years. That brings us to 2020, of course.
Of topical note, Pope Francis is also reported to be sick from an undisclosed illness. This come as the Coronavirus is sweeping across Italy, as it is in many parts of the world. The next week or two should give us more details on the 83 year old Pope’s illness, and just how serious it is.
A New Pro-Trump Pope is Waiting in the Wings
Should anything happen to Pope Francis, there is a man waiting in the wings who is widely presumed to be the odds-on favorite to be the next pope. His name is Pietro Parolin, and he seems primed to be the next pontiff.
There are two interesting things about Parolin: First, unlike Pope Francis, Parolin has taken a very conciliatory view on Donald Trump. Not only a “let’s wait and see” approach, but a strange, almost a “I can work with this guy” attitude.
Secondly, for anyone even vaguely familiar with the Prophecy of the Popes by St. Malachy, the LAST pope was predicted to be one Peter the Roman. Interesting coincidence, indeed.
The Two Beasts
Here’s the bottom line: Donald Trump is the Antichrist, the first beast of Revelation. Trump has come in his own name, just as Jesus foretold. The final pope will be the False Prophet, the second beast of Revelation. He will be in lockstep with the first beast. Those two, together, will rule the world for 3 and 1/2 years.
Will there be a Pope Pietro Parolin? Will he be as pro-Trump as indications are he might be? Time will tell, but we should not only keep an eye on Parolin, but also on the health of Pope Francis. ♦
